The principals of behavior science are held in high regard and interventions at BHBA are imparted with care. Learning new behaviors (and thoughts and feelings) along with understanding are necessary components to change and we strive to strike the balance unique to each client. Collaborative active goal setting, problem solving and solution building will successfully move you forward towards your personal goals.
Mindfulness is a primary treatment intervention at BHBA. It is highly effective and supported by consistent robust treatment outcomes in the scientific literature. Every associate at BHBA is trained in Mindfulness techniques and the Buddhist principles of non-judgment and openness inform all aspects of our work. These principles are embedded in our work culture and we are in constant dialogue with them - to apply these principles to ourselves and to each other. This day to day commitment has led to an increase in the quality of our work life, enhanced our ability to treat complex problems, enhanced our resilience and commitment to the work for the long run, and has decreased and now helps to prevent burnout. All of this is a reflection of our commitment to each client’s success.
